2010 Subaru Outback - Customer Review
Dale,
Outstanding handling in snow. Nothing like any other 4 wheel drive or front wheel drive vehicle I've driven.
Unlimited seating positions for the driver but also very comfortable in both front and back seats.
Lots of room. We bought a dryer at Christmas and brought it home without folding the rear seats down.
Good fuel economy with the 2.5 & CVT. I actually get what the US EPA rating says I'll get. The Canadian fuel ratings are somewhat optimistic.
Smooth & quiet ride and good acceleration for the engine size.
A secure feeling of driving your family around in a top safety pick.
The bad:
Stepping out requires a little stretch to not dirty the calf of your pants on the doorsill.
Mediocre stereo quality. Had I known I would have bought the upgrade.
2.5 engine a little noisy during acceleration
Hill holder feature should be automatic rather than a button you have to push. We never use it however.
*Would I buy it again?
Absolutely. After driving about ten vehicles from four other manufactures, I would purchase the Outback again without question. In fact, when it is time to replace the 1998 Camry, we may look for a new or used small Subaru. I also liked our experience with the dealer and I mentioned this in the survey I completed for Subaru.
