There are now five trims for the Subaru Ascent in 2022. Additionally, it now comes with variations of two popular trims, the Touring and Limited, that come with the option to get captain's chairs. The base Ascent model features heated front seats for extra comfort in colder weather. Three-zone climate control is standard, and for technology, it gets a 6.5-inch touchscreen with satellite radio, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. A heated and cushioned leather-wrapped steering wheel is another excellent addition to the upper-level trims of the Subaru Ascent. The Ascent has an upgraded driver infotainment system with a free Sirius XM satellite radio trial with the Onyx trim and above. The Limited trim is available with captain's chairs or a split-folding bench seating arrangement in the back, and leather seats are included for superior comfort. The driver's seat in this trim and up is 10-way adjustable for convenience. The sound system is upgraded to a Harmon Kardon with 14 speakers, and you'll get alloy wheels with a machined finish. The Premier tops the line with ventilated front seats. A rearview mirror with a compass is an additional helpful tool.

Four attractive exterior colours for the Ascent improve its styling and add to its embedded rugged elements that give it an adventurous appearance. The SUV has LED lighting and integrated raised roof rails for safety and practicality, and it has a power liftgate for more effortless cargo loading and unloading. Several additional paint colours are added up the line. The Onyx comes with stylish black alloy wheels, and you will get a choice of more paint colours, beginning with the Limited. The top trim levels are adorned with satin chrome accents. The Subaru Ascent has an impressive ground clearance and a tall height that makes it easier to get through more demanding terrain. All trims of the Ascent have a rugged outer shell that makes them better suited for harsh conditions. Power folding mirrors with integrated LED turn indicators are another helpful feature with the Ascent.

Engine & Performance

All trims of the new Ascent have the same engine, which is Subaru's original BOXER engine with turbocharger and 2.4-litre displacement, delivering 260 horsepower and 277 lb-ft of torque. Multiple drive options allow you to adjust the Subaru's handling characteristics to match surrounding environmental conditions. 

The 2022 Ascent is versatile, flexible and comes equipped with standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive. The Ascent also now has X-Mode as a standard drive system for superior and reliable handling and performance. 

The Subaru has an independent suspension system as well, and it has a high ground clearance to confidently cross water, tackle mud, plow through snow, and much more.
