Design Elements
The 2024 Subaru BRZ is designed low to the ground, with an emphasis on stability and aerodynamics. The side sill spoilers and ducktail spoiler on the trunk ensure optimal driving performance. The vehicle’s cornering grip is enhanced with the discreet design of the rear spoiler. LED lighting is included in the sporty headlights. The indicator lights, with asymmetrical lens covers and distinct Subaru motif, are positioned on the outside of the side mirrors. The small, power-adjustable side mirrors add to the aerodynamic design and offer heat settings. The lightweight alloy wheels offer optimal handling and overall performance.
The sports seating creates a lower centre of gravity as they are located low in the interior of the car. Ergonomically designed, this premium fabric seating provides comfort and luxury for all occupants. Some trims offer leather and Ultrasuede material seat covering options. The front seats have heat settings, and the rear seating can fold flat. The steering wheel is covered in leather, and the sports pedals are constructed in aluminum alloy. The centre console offers sufficient storage.
Technology
The right-inch high-resolution touchscreen display includes streaming audio, Bluetooth, dual USB, and auxiliary audio input. The steering wheel features integrated controls. CarPlay and Android Auto are available, together with SiriusXM capability. Enjoy audio via a maximum of eight speakers, depending on your choice of trim. The Subaru Starlink Connected system offers features such as Remote Engine Start/Stop and Lock/Unlock functioning, roadside assistance and personalized vehicle alerts. The Sport and TS trims offer complimentary three-year trial subscriptions. The Subaru BRZ also includes a convenient Proximity Key and Push-button start system.
Performance
The 2.4-litre four-cylinder engine has 228 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque. Direct and port fuel injection and an active valve control system ensure optimal performance on the road. Fuel efficiency for manual transmission city driving is impressive, with 12.0L/100km. Highway fuel consumption averages at 8.8L/100km.
Safety
Top-notch safety features include award-winning EyeSight Driver Assist Technology with two cameras positioned on the windshield. Pre-Collision Braking and Throttle Management, Lane Departure and Sway Warning, Lead Vehicle Start Alert, and Adaptive Cruise Control are included. The High Beam Assist feature will automatically enhance visibility when necessary. The Subaru Rear/Side Vehicle Detection is designed with multiple sensors to assist with blind spot detection and lane changing.
