2024 Subaru Impreza

The new 2024 Subaru Impreza is redesigned, being a new generation for the compact SUV. This change brings a new engine for higher tiers and a new trim replacing an old one. The engine provides a fair amount of power, while the technology focuses on keeping you connected while your hands are on the wheel.

Notable Changes From the Prior Year

The 2024 model is the next generation in Subaru's Impreza SUV lineup. However, the vehicle retains many aspects from before, including its dimensions. While similarly sized to the redesigned Crosstrek, the Impreza is still smaller, with less ground clearance, which adds to its sportier appearance.

The prior year's 2.0-litre engine carries over to this year for the lower trims. However, the two top-tier trims feature a newer 2.5-litre engine that delivers 182 horsepower. Manual transmission is no longer available, as is the Sport trim, which the RS trim has replaced.

Higher trims offer an 11.6-inch centre touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The EyeSight Driver Assist Technology now comes with a third camera for wider-angle detection when at an intersection.

Technology and Infotainment Features

The cabin of the Impreza features a pair of 7.0-inch high-resolution touchscreens. While the dual system may appear odd, it's easy to use and has plenty of utility. Bluetooth mobile phone connectivity and streaming audio, an auxiliary audio input, and a USB-A control port are all standard offers, along with steering-wheel integrated controls.

The RS receives a larger, single-screen, 11.6-inch infotainment system. While it offers the same features as the dual-screen option, it also includes a single USB-C control port. The Sport-tech trim further enhances what's available. These features include a GPS navigation feature and a Harmon Kardon 10-speaker system with an amplifier and subwoofer. SUBARU STARLINK Connected Services has a three-year free trial for the touring and higher trim levels.

Interior Design and Comfort

The redesigned Impreza's cabin offers a spacious area that's suited for five passengers. There’s plenty of room for passengers in the back, under the front seats for feet, and behind the seats for their legs. The 60/40 split folding rear seats appear flush when folded down. This design lets your enhanced cargo storage appear more spacious and stylish.
